The Process

THE PROCESS is a new panel series about the craft and career of directing. Each month, top Canadian filmmakers will discuss a specific theme and provide practical insights, which emerging creatives can apply to their practice.

DGC Ontario & POV present a new series: The Process.

Join us on Wednesday, September 16 for our September topic: Portraying Social Issue-Driven Stories on Screen with Depth and Authenticity with Kelly Fyffe-Marshall (Black Bodies, TIFF 2020) and Tiffany Hsiung (Sing Me a Lullaby, TIFF 2020), two filmmakers with a track record of depicting community stories and challenging topics on screen with vulnerability, authenticity and great storytelling ability.

Moderated by POV Alumni and filmmaker, Sunita Miya-Muganza, our discussion will shed light on their process and leave the audience with practical advice for filmmakers looking to represent important topics on screen.
