Guillermo del Toro's new Netflix horror anthology series Cabinet of Curiosities dropped on Netfix October 25th, just in time for Halloween.  To celebrate, we caught up with DGC Ontario Director Vincenzo Natali (Cube, Splice, Hannibal) to discuss his work within the "cinema fantastique", why he's always been drawn to genre film, and "Graveyard Rats," his creepy crawly short for  Cabinet of Curiosities.

Hello (Again), the new CBC Gem webseries created by Nathalie Younglai (Coroner) and Simu Liu (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Kim's Convenience) follows the complicated romance between chef Jayden and ER resident Avery. Six months after their breakup, Jayden is mysteriously sent back in time to the day that he and Avery met, giving him a chance to fix the mistakes of his past. We spoke to Location Manager Michael Roknic about finding the perfect Toronto-based locations for each character, the importance of authenticity, and tapping into how specific areas of the GTA fit within the story.

Directed by Director Member Nyla Innuksuk and set and shot on location in Nunavut, Slash/Back is the story of Maika (Tasiana Shirley) and her ragtag friends, who discover an alien invasion in their tiny arctic town of Pangnirtung. Utilizing their makeshift weapons and horror movie knowledge, it's up to them to save the day - the aliens are about to realize you don't mess with girls from Pang.

R.T. has since directed episodes of Degrassi, Backstage, the CW's Kung Fu, and created Utopia Falls, an award-winning young adult Afrofuturistic science fiction series, in 2020.
