Designed to spotlight actionable solutions and real-world case studies, the event brought together industry professionals to explore practical strategies for reducing the environmental footprint of film and television production. Through a series of engaging and interactive discussions, DGC Ontario Members and Apprentices had the opportunity to learn from leading voices in sustainable filmmaking.

We extend our sincere thanks to our incredible speakers: David Hardy, Mary Anne Waterhouse, Mark Angel, Joe Madziak, Alexandra Lord, Colette Kendall, and Astra Burka, who generously shared their insights, experiences, and forward-thinking ideas with an eager and thoughtful audience. From innovative on-set practices to broader systemic change, their contributions helped illuminate a path forward for a greener screen-based industry.

The event was a resounding success, inspiring a strong sense of purpose and collective commitment among attendees. Thank you to everyone who took part in the conversation and continues to champion sustainable production practices across Ontario.

In the spirit of continued action, we encourage all Members to take advantage of DGC Ontario’s new E-waste recycling program, a collaborative initiative with reBOOT Canada.
