After his diabolical plan to invade America’s children’s hospitals was foiled in Season 1, Chucky now seeks revenge on those he holds responsible: surviving teens Jake (Zackary Arthur), Devon (Björgvin Arnarson) and Lexy (Alyvia Alyn Lind), along with his ex Tiffany, now his sworn enemy. Academy Award-winning filmmaker and creator, executive producer, and co-showrunner Guillermo del Toro has curated a collection of unprecedented and genre-defining stories meant to challenge our traditional notions of horror. From macabre to magical, gothic to grotesque or classically creepy, these eight equally sophisticated and sinister tales are brought to life by a team of writers and directors personally chosen by del Toro, including DGC Ontario Director Vincenzo Natali.

The debut feature from DGC Ontario Director Nyla Innuksuk, Slash/Back packs a vivid and thrilling punch, as a girl gang in Pangnirtung, Nunavut is left to fight off a supernatural apocalypse. When Maika (Tasiana Shirley) and her ragtag friends discover an alien invasion in their tiny arctic hamlet, it’s up to them to save the day. Utilizing their makeshift weapons and horror movie knowledge, the aliens soon discover why you don’t mess with girls from Pang. Crimes of the Future

The newest film from Canadian horror auteur and DGC Ontario Director David Cronenberg takes place in a near future where humans have adapted to a synthetic environment by undergoing new transformations and mutations. With his partner Caprice (Léa Seydoux), celebrity performance artist Saul Tenser (frequent David Cronenberg collaborator Viggo Mortensen) publicly showcases the metamorphosis of his organs in avant-garde performances. Timlin (Kristen Stewart), an investigator from the National Organ Registry, obsessively tracks their movements, which is when a mysterious group is revealed. Their mission: to use Saul’s notoriety to shed light on the next phase of human evolution.

What We Do in the Shadows

Based on the feature film of the same name from Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi, “What We Do in the Shadows” is a documentary-style look into the daily (or rather, nightly) lives of four vampires who’ve “lived” together for hundreds of years in Staten Island. Season 4 introduces even more absurd twists as vampires Nadja, Lazlo, Nandor, Colin Robinson, and their human bodyguard/familiar Guillermo open a nightclub, deal with vampiric puberty, and confront the ennui of eternal existence. The Slumber Party Massacre (2021)

DGC Ontario Director Danishka Esterhazy helms this satirical remake of the surprisingly feminist 1982 cult classic horror film. Dana, the daughter of the only survivor of a massacre in 1993, is going on a weekend trip with friends. After their car breaks down in the very same town where her mother once fought the Driller Killer, Dana and her friends must come face-to-face with the man who has haunted her mother’s life for the past 30 years. Plenty of twists and turns abound as The Slumber Party Massacre, much like its predecessor, subverts our expectations of the roles women play in slasher movies. A disturbing cyberpunk tale of losing yourself in another’s identity, uniquely and stylishly Directed by DGC Ontario’s Brandon Cronenberg. In an alternative history 2008, Tasya Vos (Andrea Riseborough), an elite corporate assassin, uses brain-implant technology to take control of other people’s bodies to terminate high-profile targets. As she sinks deeper into the identity of her latest assignment, a corporate drone (Christopher Abbott) engaged to a powerful man’s daughter, Vos becomes trapped inside a mind that threatens to obliterate her.

The latest film from Brandon Cronenberg explores our cultural concepts of tourism, wealth, and morality. James and Em Foster are enjoying an all-inclusive beach vacation on the fictional island of La Tolqa, when a fatal accident exposes the island’s strange loophole for tourists who commit crimes: either you’ll be executed, or, if you’re rich enough to afford it, you can watch yourself die instead. Guided by a seductive and mysterious woman, James ventures outside the resort grounds and finds himself in a subculture filled with surreal violence, hedonism and untold horror.

The writers and executive producers of hit series Lost return with another mystery thriller series that rocks a small community. On a road trip, Jim Matthews (Eion Bailey), wife Tabitha (Catalina Sandino Moreno) and their two kids stumble upon a nightmarish small town that traps all those who enter. As the unwilling residents fight to keep a sense of normalcy and search for a way out, they must also survive the threats of the surrounding forest – including the terrifying creatures that come out when the sun goes down. The series was recently renewed for a Season 2 that promises even more mystery as hidden truths about the nature and terrifying origins of the town begin to emerge.
