Young Werther (an official selection of #TIFF24) Director José Avelino Gilles Corbett Lourenço joins Wider Lens to chat about bringing a 250-year-old novel to life in modern-day Toronto. José opens up about his transformation from writer to director, the 16-year journey to his first feature, capturing the depth of love and friendship on-screen, and why a supportive creative team makes all the difference.
