DGC Ontario Directors Eva Thomas and Gail Maurice sit down for a conversation about Aberdeen, a deeply personal story rooted in the lived experiences of Indigenous communities in Winnipeg.

Co-directed by Eva and brought to life through Gail’s powerful performance as Aberdeen, Eva and Gail reflect on their collaborative experience and how both the character and film can work as “machines of empathy” to humanize what is too often overlooked.
